Description:


The principle of ultrasonic plastic welding is that the generator generates 20KHZ (or 15KHZ) high voltage and high frequency signals, converts the signals into high-frequency mechanical vibration through the energy conversion system, and adds them to the plastic products workpiece. The temperature from the transmission point to the interface increases through the friction of the workpiece surface and internal molecular parts. When the temperature reaches the melting point of the workpiece itself, the workpiece interface will melt rapidly, and then fill the gap between the interfaces. When the vibration stops, At the same time, the workpiece is cooled and shaped under a certain pressure to achieve welding.

Equipment maintenance:



1. The accumulated water in the air filter shall be discharged in time before overflowing.

2. The sliding part of the welding machine shall be wiped clean and reapplied with high-quality lubricating grease every month after use.

3.When cleaning the side plate and surface of the welding machine, it is forbidden to use various fluxes, and neutral detergent should be used to wipe gently.

4. In order to prevent hearing damage during vibration, the processor should use hearing protector.

5.Clean the dust in the machine with dry compressed air every six months.

Ultrasonic welding is the process by which two pieces of plastic are joined together through the use of high-frequency acoustic vibrations. For the process one half of the component is placed on a fixed anvil and the second half is placed on top. An extension, connected to the transducer on the welding machine, called a “horn” is then lowered down on top of the two components. Once the horn is in place a very rapid low-amplitude acoustic vibration is applied to the moulding in a small welding zone. This vibration causes the acoustic energy to be converted into heat energy and the two components are welded together in a short space of time, typically less than one second.

For localized conversion of vibrations to friction heat, the anvil or sonotrode profiles are mostly linear. These profiles ensure focusing of the energy input and therefore short sealing times between 100 and 200 milliseconds.
