Ultrasound is a sound wave with a frequency higher than 20,000 Hz and a power density of p≥0.3W/cm. Ultrasonic has good directivity, strong reflection ability, easy to obtain more concentrated sound energy, and can be used for ranging, speed measurement, cleaning, welding, crushing, sterilization and so on.

Ultrasonic welding is the use of high-frequency vibration waves to transfer to the surface of two objects to be welded, under pressure, so that the surface of the two objects friction with each other to form a fusion between molecular layers. It is a fast, clean and effective assembly process for the assembly of thermoplastic parts and some synthetic components.
