Ultrasonic horn is an
important part of the ultrasonic vibration system. Its main function in the
vibration system is to amplify the mass displacement or velocity of the
mechanical vibration, and concentrate the ultrasonic energy on a small area,
that is, the energy is collected. Also known as ultrasonic shift levers or
ultrasonic concentrators.
Ultrasonic horns (ultrasonic
horns), as the name suggests, are functional components that match the
amplitude of ultrasonic vibrations with ultrasonic transducers. Its main
function is to change the amplitude of the transducer (generally increase),
improve the vibration ratio, improve the efficiency, improve the mechanical
quality factor, enhance the heat resistance, expand the temperature range, and
prolong the service life of the transducer. The ultrasonic transducer adjusts
the load matching between the transducer and the ultrasonic tool head by
installing a horn (ultrasonic horn), which reduces the resonance impedance and
makes it work at the resonant frequency to improve the electro-acoustic
conversion efficiency. Reduces the heat generation of the ultrasonic transducer
and increases the service life.
In the principle of
ultrasonic welding machine, the ultrasonic amplitude modulator device amplifies
the output of the vibration energy outputted by the transducer, and the
selection of the amplitude modulator is mainly analyzed by the following
points:
First, the welding area of
the job.
The size of the welding area
has different requirements for welding energy, which corresponds to the
amplitude modulation selection of the amplitude modulator. The larger the
welding area, the greater the demand for welding energy. The amplitude
modulation of the ultrasonic modulator is relatively high, the welding area is
small, and the welding energy requirement is smaller, and the selection of the
ultrasonic modulating device can be correspondingly reduced.
Second, the workpiece
material.
Pp, pe, nylon and other
crystalline resins are difficult to weld, and the amplitude of the ultrasonic
modulator is higher than that of the amorphous material.
Third, the workpiece
structure.
When the structure of the
workpiece has a weak structure, such as a slender or weak structure, because it
is easily damaged, a lower amplitude should be selected for the ultrasonic
modulating device to prevent the ultrasonic device from causing vibration
damage to the working workpiece during the welding operation.
