May The Holidays Be Happy And Auspicious for You And The Coming Year Be Your Strongest

Christmas Day is on December 25th. It was a very happy day for many boys and girls. In some schools, before the end of the term, children put on a nativity or "nativity" play, showing how Jesus was born in a stable.

On December 24th, all the children were very excited. Usually they are sent to bed early so that the parents can prepare the presents. Young children think Santa Claus will come down the chimney or fireplace, so they hang up a sock for him to put presents in. Some children even hang up pillowcases or sacks to try and get more presents. Later that night, the father or mother would put the gift in the stocking and leave the other gifts by the bed.

The children get up early on Christmas morning. Some even turn on the lights at two o 'clock, most people wake up at six o 'clock, and the children play while preparing dinner. At about one o 'clock in the afternoon, the Christmas dinner arrived, and the Turkey or chicken was soon eaten. Children look for new coins hidden in the Christmas pudding. The rest of the day is filled with games and food until the happiest of all Christmas holidays is over.
