Ultrasonic power generators are also called ultrasonic power sources, ultrasonic generators, and ultrasonic generators. Seeing the power supply, we can think that this should be the power supply device of ultrasonic equipment. In fact, it is true. The function of the ultrasonic power generator is to convert our commonly used electric energy into the high-frequency alternating current signal required by ultrasonic waves. Simply put, the ultrasonic power generator is the power source of the ultrasonic equipment, and it is generally only used by large-scale ultrasonic equipment.
In practical applications, how to match the power of the ultrasonic generator and the transducer better? Mainly consider from the following two aspects:
First of all, the power supply can output the rated electric power to the transducer through matching. This is because the power supply needs a good load to output the rated power. The impedance of the transducer is transformed into an ideal load, that is, the effect of impedance transformation.
Secondly, the output efficiency of the ultrasonic generator is high through matching. This is due to the electrostatic reactance of the ultrasonic transducer, resulting in a certain phase difference between the output voltage and current at the operating frequency, so that the output power cannot obtain the desired ideal output. , The output efficiency of the power supply is reduced, so an opposite reactance is connected in parallel or in series at the output end of the power supply, so that the power load is a pure resistance, which is a tuning function. It can be seen that the matching quality of the ultrasonic transducer directly affects the efficiency of the ultrasonic generator.
The ultrasonic generator is divided into self-excitation mode power supply and other excitation mode power supply according to the design. The self-excited circuit has no signal source, but integrates the oscillation, power amplifier, output transformer and transducer into a whole to form a closed loop. The loop meets the amplitude and phase feedback conditions to form an oscillator with power amplification. And it resonates at the mechanical resonance frequency of the transducer. Generally used in small devices with a small number of ultrasonic transducers; however, when the number of ultrasonic transducers is large, it cannot be debugged to achieve the resonance effect. Therefore, most of the ultrasonic generators of industrial ultrasonic cleaning equipment use other excitation methods. The generator of the ultrasonic welding machine generally adopts a self-excited ultrasonic generator.
